Geno over at the Lost Colony Tavern in Manteo is throwing a month-long Halloween Party and he asked us to be the official beer.

“Easy,” I said. “Pick a flavor. We have grim reapers, a skeleton bagpiper, an evil fisherman, a witch, and a Creep Show–inspired colonist. Come to think of it, we ARE the official beer of Halloween.”

But it was not easy. Geno of course wanted something special. (It’s never easy, is it Geno?)

Thus, the Blonde of Frankenstein idea was born. Geno then turned to our logo guru Britton, and a masterpiece was created.

Starting in October, we will have an extremely limited run of The Blonde of Frankenstein for the Thirteen Bars of Halloween.

I always thought Halloween in Manteo couldn’t get any better, but I think Geno just proved me wrong.

Ever since we released the new Summer 2025 bar menus last week, we keep getting asked the same question: “What the hell is a Flounder Pounder?” Why FLOUNDER? Well this beer is essentially a tip of the proverbial hat to those hard-working commercial & recreational fisherman of the Outer Banks who desire a refreshing beer at the end of a long day on the water. Why POUNDER? Because this delicious, sessionable light beer is perfect for pounding on the beach or on the boat…or pretty much wherever you are.

Dublin Coddle is a traditional Irish pub meal consisting of sliced bangers, potatoes, onions, carrots, chopped rashers of back bacon, and gravy. Along with the other popular classic dishes we saw, we bring this succulent DUBLIN CODDLE dish to the Outer Banks every March for our month-long “Festival of Saint Patrick.”
