Left the dock with a beautiful forecast that was correct for somewhere, just not where we fished. Called for South less than 10, NE 10 to 15 is what we got. I Ran and set up well away from the fleet, doubled up on giants, and pulled them both off a few minutes in. Killed a nice butterball yummy in the tummy blackfin, then the BIG bite on the flat line. Worked that fish for 3 and a half hours, and finally we decided to break the fish or break the gear. Well ya know how that works out, broke 150lb leader and moved on with the day, but no more bites for us, that's what happens when ya end up where the fleet has propellerized the fish all day. Ran home at 27kts with calm seas and cranking tunes. Also had Maggie (red bids) back at it today, she'll be deck handing this summer and is picking it back up quickly.
