We, at THE ROANOKE, are so excited to welcome you back! During these times, we remain extra vigilant in regards to the safety and protection of our guests and our staff.
In following guidelines put out by the CDC, Dare County Department of Health and Human Services and the AHLA (American Hotel and Lodging Association) Safe Stay practices, we have made some sensible changes for the 2020 season.
Cleaning: We are continuing with the standard Lysol and Clorox products we've always used, as well as EPA registered disinfectants. It is also important to note that ALL of our rooms have private entrances, bathrooms, as well as personal heating and cooling units so there is no shared HVAC system circulating air throughout the rooms.
Check in/Check out: To ensure all rooms are properly and completely sanitized, check in will be 4pm and check time 10am.
Housekeeping: There will be no stay over or room refresh service in any rooms.
Bedding: All beds are completely striped of all linens including mattress pads, pillow covers, sheets, blankets and comforters and laundered in hot water. For those guests wishing to make their own beds or bring their own linens, please let us know and we are more than happy to accommodate.
Breakfast: All rooms will have single serve coffee makers and breakfast will be served to your room or available as a grab and go option.
Social Distancing: We ask that you please respect social distancing measures in our office, reception area, on the porches, in the garden, as well as around town and on the beach. We will do our best to keep an updated list of restaurants and businesses that are open, as well as their hours and policies.
As we prepare to welcome you back, please call us with concerns or questions. One of the many benefits of staying at a small inn with eight rooms is having the ability to call and speak directly with the owners or our innkeeper, Whitney. We work with our guests on a much more personal level and if there something we can do to make your stay more comfortable, we are always here to accommodate. We are more thankful than ever for our amazing guests and the quiet, coastal village we call home. Come take some deep cleansing breaths of fresh, salty air, stroll the (new!) boardwalk, enjoy an afternoon by the koi pond, relax on the wide open beaches or take bike ride around our island.
We can’t wait to see you soon!
Lauren, Jason and THE ROANOKE staff
