Located on Roanoke Island at Pirate’s Cove Marina, Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar brings a sea-to-table dining experience inspired by the warmth and vibrancy of Outer Banks fishing culture. With convenient boat access, you can dock and step straight into fresh seafood, creative cocktails, and classic coastal favorites!
Owned and operated by OBX locals and husband-and-wife team, Jess and BJ, who bring over 40 years of combined restaurant experience, Blue Water Grill celebrates local flavors and community spirit. Head Chef, Tim Gard, leads a talented culinary team crafting seasonal menus, daily specials, and homemade desserts. Lunch favorites include the Baja Fish Tacos, while dinner highlights feature Oyster Shooters, Tuna Tataki, Shrimp and Grits, Fish of the Day, and so much more! The raw bar features oysters sourced from local, regional, and national waters, alongside a selection of fresh, local seafood. Guests are welcome to bring in their fresh catches for custom preparation. To accompany your meal, the bar offers specialty cocktails and extensive wine and beer lists.

Our main restaurant is open year-round, while Mimi’s Tiki Hut, also located in Pirate’s Cove Marina, welcomes guests seasonally from May through November. At the Tiki Hut, unwind with drinks, bites, and live music, and feel free to bring your leashed pup along to enjoy the stunning marina views!
