Locally referred to as the Evans Family Homeplace, The Manteo House and its detached apartment provided 6,000 square feet of interior space including seven bedrooms, a spacious gourmet kitchen, a den, a parlor, a formal dining room, a breakfast nook, a second-floor lounge and four covered porches, one of which is screened.
