Nancy is celebrating her 45th year of making pots. This shop is the potter’s studio as well as her exhibit space, so you can often see her working at the wheel or glazing. Nancy’s functional pottery is made of high-fired stoneware that is oven, microwave and dishwasher safe including pie plates, sponge holders, bowls, vases and spoon rests. She also makes God jars, beaded jewelry, tile murals and limited edition Passion Pots (with a wink, Nancy says stop in and ask). The Island Shop is full of gems. Half of the shop features stylish and comfortable women's clothes, including sweaters, leggings, tunics, dresses and tops in soft, dreamy fabrics. Add to that accessories and jewelry and you've got a one-stop dress shop. Sea glass jewelry is a big seller here, and the local artist who makes it frequently can be found working on site. The other half of the store focuses on lovely gift items and home decor. You'll love the ceramics, pillows, throws and cat- and dog-themed items. The staff is particularly friendly here too. Be sure to say hello to Bubba Darlin, the resident Norwich terrier.
