Scarborough House offers bed and breakfast accommodations in a handsome home in the historic district, within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants and attractions of the waterfront area. The inn is appointed with beautiful antiques and artwork, some of it painted by the owner, as well as local artifacts and memorabilia. The owners are native Outer Bankers who can steer you to the right activities or answer your questions. The inn offers two different types of accommodations — four rooms in the main house (two rooms with king beds, one room with a queen bed and one room with a queen and a single bed to accommodate three people) and a spacious and private two-unit guesthouse separate from the main inn that includes a downstairs suite featuring a queen-size bed, sleeper sofa and full kitchen, and an upstairs suite with a king-size bed, wet bar, lounging area and garden tub — perfect for honeymoons. All rooms offer a private bath, TV, telephone, coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave and wireless internet. A light continental breakfast is offered in-room. This is a non-smoking inn. After a day on the town, relax on the porch in a rocking chair looking out over the garden and goldfish pond.
